The Public Record Office Victoria (PROV) over the past two years have collected data that provides valuable insights into the scope of physical and digital record holdings within Victoria’s public sector. PROV distributed a survey to public sector organisations with the purpose of assisting these agencies with their storage and records disposal, as well as transfer planning.
The results of the survey identified that a substantial amount of records both physical and digital are required to be disposed of, or transferred to Public Record Office Victoria as state archives, within the next few years.
We created the following infographic to highlight the key results of this data.
