New Recordkeeping Maturity Assessment Tool by Queensland State Archives
Jun 18, 2019 | Records Management
The Queensland State Archives have released a new Recordkeeping Maturity Assessment Tool, designed to assist organisations in measuring the performance of their recordkeeping maturity and provide guidelines for performance improvement when scores are low.
With the records and information management industry undergoing a digital transformation that has led to increased regulation, it is imperative for agencies to adapt to these changes and ensure that they are meeting their regulatory and compliance obligations. Recordkeeping maturity is an important piece of this puzzle, as it allows agencies to access information and content when required, which in turn can lead to improved decision making.
The Recordkeeping Maturity Assessment tool is one part of Queensland State Archive’s Recordkeeping Transformation Program, which is designed to improve the overall quality of records and information management across government agencies. Specifically, the tool features five different levels of maturity with associated performance indicators for each level.
If you believe your organisation could benefit from an objective, third party recordkeeping maturity assessment, please get in touch with our team. We also offer records management health checks that examine your organisation’s records management system and recordkeeping policies to identify areas for improvement.
