Classifying records using a BCS increases the ease in which records are accessed, therefore it’s imperative that a BCS is set up correctly. We recommend that organisations review their business classification schemes;
- At least every two years
- When there is a change in business activity
- After a machinery of government (MOG) change
- When a BCS has been changed
