What Has Miktysh Been Up To?

If you’ve noticed things have been a little quiet on our LinkedIn and Facebook pages lately, there’s a simple explanation: we’ve been heads-down doing the work rather than writing about it. So, we thought it was time for a proper update on what the Miktysh team has actually been up to.

Spoiler: it’s been a lot!

Keeping Content Manager environments running

Our Managed Support service has kept us busy across our client base, from Commonwealth agencies through to state government and not-for-profit organisations. A good chunk of this work has involved troubleshooting integration challenges — particularly around the Zero Footprint Integration with New Outlook and Office Online — as clients modernise their Microsoft 365 environments, and around keeping Content Manager’s Outlook and Teams integrations working smoothly through platform changes on Microsoft’s side.

It’s the kind of work that rarely makes headlines, but it’s exactly what keeps records systems reliable day to day — and it’s where a lot of our expertise gets put to genuine use.

Migration and implementation work

We’ve continued to build out custom tooling to make Content Manager migrations faster and more accurate. This includes custom tools for bulk document imports (creating import spreadsheets fast and efficiently), tools for validating and correcting file path data ahead of import, and utilities for managing revision histories at scale. When you’re dealing with millions of records, the difference between manual data wrangling and purpose-built tooling is enormous — both in time saved and in accuracy.

We’ve also been refining our own internal tools: log review dashboards, automated reporting, and administrative utilities that help our team (and by extension, our clients) work more efficiently.

Training and enablement

Good records management software is only as effective as the people using it. We’ve spent time this year reviewing and improving our Content Manager training materials, including our System Administration, Web Client, Power User and Archiving, Retention & Disposal manuals, along with developing new assessment tools to help teams build genuine competency and confidence with the system.

Growing our services

Behind the scenes, we’ve also been updating our Managed Support offering into clearer service tiers — Essential, Managed, and Fully Managed (Completed) — so it’s easier for organisations to find the right level of support for their needs and budget. We’ve been active in the government tender space too, responding to a number of opportunities across councils, state and Commonwealth agencies.

Still here, still helping

So while our socials have been quiet, our client work absolutely hasn’t. Whether you need day-to-day Content Manager support, help with an upgrade, migration assistance, training for your team, or broader records and information management advice, the Miktysh team is here and ready to help.

Get in touch with us today — we’d love to hear what you’re working on.
